Enessess
Abstract Art in Support of Dementia Research
About Enessess (NSS)
I am a professional organic chemist turned amateur artist, based in the Nottingham area of the UK. I have exhibited (and sold) artwork at the University of Nottingham Djanogly Gallery Summer Exhibition. I have always been fascinated by the incredible multi-coloured textures seen in close-ups of Impressionist art by artists such as Claude Monet.
As an organic chemist, mixing chemicals and running experiments gave me the same type of excitement that I can derive from mixing and pouring paints. I also like to assemble canvas stretchers, stretch my own quality (420 gsm) canvas and cut my own mounts. The success of every experiment depends on so many factors, including quantities, proportions, quality and technique. It’s a lot of fun and there’s a lot of satisfaction when you produce something pleasing of high quality.
The only problem is to accommodate all of the artwork. If only it could be put to good use…..That’s where you come in.
If you like some of this artwork and would like to support Dementia UK (or perhaps another charity) then please get in contact. Half of the list price of each artwork will go to charity (the rest may just about cover materials, packaging and postage 😂).
PS - If you are around the Nottingham area and would like a hands-on acrylic pouring session that can also be arranged …post lockdown..
